Program name

GOT U Service Updates, operated by GOT U.

Program description

GOT U Service Updates is a first-party transactional messaging program operated solely by GOT U. Messages are sent only to a service recipient who personally and directly opts in to receive updates about a specific service arranged through the GOT U platform. Messages may include an opt-in confirmation, assigned-helper information, arrival or status information, and changes to the assigned helper. GOT U does not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.

First-Party Messaging and Consent

GOT U is the sole sender of messages in the GOT U Service Updates program. This program is not used for affiliate marketing, third-party lead generation, advertising, or promotional messaging.

Messaging consent is specific to GOT U and the GOT U Service Updates program. Consent is not transferable, assignable, or shareable with another business, affiliate, advertiser, or third party.

A person arranging a GOT U service for another individual cannot provide SMS consent on that individual's behalf. Only the mobile-phone owner/message recipient may provide consent through the GOT U consent form.

Mobile phone numbers, messaging opt-in data, and messaging consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies, typically 1–3 messages per service.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any GOT U message for assistance.

You can also contact customer support at support@gotu.life.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any GOT U message at any time.

You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to your number. If you later wish to receive GOT U Service Updates again, you must consent again through the GOT U web consent form; re-enrollment does not happen automatically.

Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any GOT U service. Consent is direct and recipient-specific: only the person who will receive the messages can provide it, it applies only to the mobile number they confirm, and it applies only to the GOT U Service Updates program. Consent given by the person who arranged the service does not count as consent from the recipient, and consent is never shared between businesses. After opting out, re-enrollment requires the recipient to consent again through the GOT U web consent process.
